Hi everybody, it's Tasia and Gracia here!
We are super excited that we finally are able to share our love of food along with our favourite recipes and video blog here on our website.
We would like to share a little something about our selves. Growing up, we are lucky enough to experience different cultures. We were born in Indonesia, and have lived in India before settling down in Melbourne. Thanks to our parents, that’s how our loved for travel started. Food in the other hand is special to our hearts. So this how it all started…
We think our relationship with food, started way long before we realised there was something there at all. Growing up, food has always been immersed in our way of life. Food is the center piece of all our family and friends gatherings including important events like birthdays, travels and other special occasions.
Our fondest memories of food have become fundamental in our development of recipes that we create and the dishes that we love to eat which has certainly become our food philosophy-- cooking to recreate memories.
With recipes that have been passed along from two generations as the basis of our food knowledge, we try and recreate new dishes, new fusions of food and new innovative dishes. We hope that the food that we are able to present to you will be instilled in your family’s dinning experience. We feel that through food we are able to recreate, develop the memories that we both hold so dearly to us.
Being on My Kitchen Rules was always something we wanted to be apart of but never took the risk until 2016. The experience was one of the best thing that ever happened to us. We met so many incredible people who are talented, kind, funny and most of all share the same passion as us that is our love of food.
In return it has given us endless opportunities for us to excel in this food industry and pursuit our careers in food. We are constantly developing new fusions within traditional Asian cooking, combining innovative dishes and modernising plating. Our most used ingredients: chilli, garlic, onion, shallots and rice — are reflective of our Asian heritage.
Our other passion is to travel and explore the different cultures, at the same time learning and being inspired to create the fusion dishes.
